نقش تعلل‌ورزی و کنترل عواطف در پیش‌بینی واکنش‌پذیری بین فردی سالمندان

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of procrastination and affect control in predicting interpersonal reactivity. Methods: The statistical population of present descriptive study included all of the retired seniors in Sari that among them a sample of 220 subjects (114 females and 106 males) was selected using convenience sampling method and they completed General Procrastination Scale, Affect Control and Interpersonal Reactivity Index. Results: the results of Pearson’s correlation analysis showed there is a significant correlation between interpersonal reactivity with procrastination (r = -0/33), affect control (r = 0/53), positive affect (r = 0/42) and anxiety (r = 0/25). Test results of regression analysis showed that procrastination, anxiety and positive affect can explain 28 percent of the variance of interpersonal reactivity. Conclusion: we can help to improving, seniors’ interpersonal relationships and it’s subsequent quality of life and health by affect control training and training for coping with procrastination.
